We tahinied together for a whole week and have already met 12% of our goal! We’re extremely thankful to everyone who backed the campaign in the first week, shared our news on social media, and has followed our progress along the way.
We started our first week with a bang! On our official launch day, February 21st, we had a great time gathering with like-minded entrepreneurs at a Conscious Capitalism mixer at Cross Campus DTLA. Guests got to sample our three flavors of Sesamaise Tahini dips, and many were so excited that they contributed to the campaign on the spot!
We hosted a really fun live cooking demo at the Santa Monica Farmers Market on Sunday. We were met with a warm reception and a very experienced young chef who helped out with mashing avocados! :)
A big shoutout to everyone who helped to spread the word about our peacebuilding mission! Net Impact LA wrote a fantastic article about Sesamaise social enterprise model and if you want to dive even deeper into Ceci’s story, check out Social Impact Diary’s “Is Your Tahini Making a Difference?”
Lastly, we’re ecstatic because of all of the good things we’re hearing about the first week’s tasting parties! From Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., thank you to our hosts Amanda, Laney, Emily, Robyn and Claudia and everyone who showed up to dip! If you attended a tasting party and are inspired to throw your own, please let us know.
Thank you everyone so much for your support and for following us on this journey! We’d love to see how you use your Sesamaise Tahini Dips, and see photos from your tasting parties, so remember to use the hashtag #tahinitogether and tag @sesamaise in your photos.
